the morgan library and new york public library

morgan cat
new york public library
patience or fortitude?

Last Saturday I took my own library tour of New York City.

The Morgan is my new favorite place;
complete with secret passage ways and tiers of walnut bookcases
it's intimate, mysterious and romantic all at the same time.

The New York Public Library was crowded
but still a grand room to visit.

sigh…books

easter blue

female
male

Today I went for a long walk and then sat
in an open field and knitted all afternoon.

Along the creekside my beloved muscari were in bloom
and the blue birds have returned to claim a nesting box.

perfect

Happy Easter!

another yarn sale...

Cascade 220 Heathers in Walnut Heather
Woodstock Knits Tinted Tweed in Violet
Quince and Co. Lark in Fjord
The view from the empty farm stand.

Yarn buddy Jenn texted me Sunday morning that our favorite LYS,
Conversational Threads, was having a sale of 30% off all clearance yarn!

Soon after the shop opened we met up at the back table
to rummage through the goodies and both walked away
with enough yarn for two sweater projects each.
sigh…so much yarn, so little time…
happy knitting!
